Areola Reduction

Areola Reduction Surgery

Areola reduction is a minor surgical procedure designed to help reduce the size of the areola, which is the pigmented skin that surrounds the nipple. In some cases many can feel that this area is too large which can impact body confidence. Areola reduction is a minor cosmetic surgical procedure now available to book here at Victoria House Clinic.

Why get your areola reduced?

There are a number of reasons as to why someone might want to have areola reduction surgery. We've outlined a few of those reasons below:

Your areola reduction procedure will be carried out in our CQC registered clinic by our Medical Director; Dr George Filobbos who is an esteemed Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon.

Areola Reduction Surgical Procedure

Areola reduction is a non-invasive, minor surgical procedure. During the procedure a small incision will be made in the breast area before removing a circular strip of the outer areola. The skin will then be tightened and repositioned to create a new smaller areola.

This procedure is done under local anaesthetic and typically takes approx. 1-2 hours to complete. Following the procedure you will be taken into our onsite recovery room where you will be monitored and allowed to rest before being free to go home on the same day.

Is areola reduction a safe treatment?
Yes, this treatment is extremely safe and carried out by our Medical Director. We have a team of trained medical experts on site here in our CQC registered clinic to ensure your safety before, during and after treatment.
