What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a treatment designed to rejuvenate the skin in a non-invasive way helping to reduce the appearance of a number of skin concerns and encourage skin healing. It's a clinically safe and proven form of collagen induction therapy. Through controlled micro needle insertions of the dermis layer of the skin, micro injuries are created, inducing new collagen and elastin production through the healing process.

Microneedling FAQ

Microneedling is suitable for all skin types (subject to a skin consultation) and can help address a wide range of skin concerns. During your consultation our nurse will assess your skin and the areas you are unhappy with and recommend the best course of action.

Pain is subjective and everyone has different tolerances. A topical anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area to help reduce any pain. During the process you should expect to feel mild discomfort.

You won’t need to plan ahead or factor in any time off for recovery following a microneedling treatment. However you should expect your face to be redder than usual for the first 24 hours.

Our microneedling treatments are carried out by our Nurse who is a skin specialist and holds a Level 7 qualification in Aesthetics Medicine which is the equivalent of masters degree. Let’s get you booked in for a consultation where you can meet the nurse and ask any questions.
