Circumcision
What is circumcision?
Circumcision is a surgical procedure which involves the removal of the retractable skin that surrounds the tip of the penis, also known as the foreskin. It's a very common surgical procedure done for a variety of reasons. Here's an overview of some of the reasons why a man might consider circumcision:
- Religious Reasons
- Medical Considerations
- Facing Discomfort
Whatever the reason might be for circumcision we’re here to help you throughout the entire process. Our circumcision procedures are carried out by our UK trained urologist doctor, Dr Hosam Serag.
Circumcision Procedure
A circumcision is a fairly straight forward and a quick procedure, that will be carried out under local anaesthetic. Which means the area will be numbed so you won't feel any pain. The procedure involves the doctor removing the foreskin from just behind the head of the penis using a scalpel or surgical scissors.
Following the procedure you will be taken into our onsite recovery room where you will be monitored and allowed to rest before being free to go home.
Is circumcision safe?
The safety of both our patients and staff is extremely important to us all here at Victoria House Clinic. Our circumcision procedures are extremely safe and carried out by our trained urologist expert. As with any procedure you should expect side effects, these will all be outlined to you during your procedure.
