Wart Removal Method
Excision Removal
The method we use for the removal of warts is surgical excision. This method is commonly used to remove warts from different areas of the body. Using a surgical scalpel the doctor will carefully cut out the wart removing it entirely from the skin. Local anaesthetic will be used to numb the area so the treatment is painless.
Is wart removal a safe procedure?
Yes, this procedure is extremely safe and will be carried out in our CQC registered clinic by a UK trained doctor. You will be supported at every stage of the process from consultation right up until after your treatment.
It is important to note that in some cases there might be increased pigmentation in the area, particularly in darker skin, where the wart has been removed. Typically, this is only temporary.

What is the aftercare process like for this treatment?
The aftercare process will depend on the size of the wart that is removed. Typically, however you should keep the area clean and dry and well protected. It’s likely that a small scab will appear in the treated area which should heal within a week. Try not to add pressure to the area especially if the wart has been removed from your hand.
