Skin tag removal method
Excision Removal
The method we use for the removal of skin tags is snip excision. This method is commonly used to remove skin tags from different areas of the body. The Dr will cut the skin tags away from the skin using a surgical blade. Depending on the size of the skin tag a local anaesthetic may be used to numb the area.
There are many areas on the body in which skin tags may appear. We can help remove skin tags from the face, eyelids, groin, genitals or body. Once a skin tag is removed it typically doesn't return.
Can I have more than one skin tag removed?
Yes, we can help with the removal of subsequent skin tags too. We will discuss your bespoke treatment plan with you during your consultation.
It is important to note that the removal of skin tags can cause scarring and skin pigmentation, in most cases this will only be a temporary side effect.

What happens after treatment?
Following the removal treatment it’s likely that a small scab will appear in the area in which the skin tag was removed, this should typically last up to a week before fading. The size of the removed skin tags will determine the healing process, smaller ones often heal without a trace whereas the removal of larger skin tags may leave a small scar.
