SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation) Removal
What is Scalp Micropigmentation?
SMP is a treatment whereby the appearance of hair is created in people with baldness or thinning hair. Using a fine needle and ink to apply a tattoo of tiny dots to the scalp. This creates the appearance of a short hair cut or stubble effect on a bald head. It can give the appearance of a denser head of hair or thinning hair. SMP is different from tattoo, a fine needle is used to inject ink into the scalp. It does not inject as deep as a traditional tattoo. Sometimes clients may be unhappy with the results and seek SMP removal.
Scalp Micropigmentation Removal
Scalp micropigmentation can be almost completely removed in just one laser session with Candela Picoway. A second session may be needed to complete the process. However, if the ink has been deposited deeper into the skin or the wrong type of ink it can be more difficult to remove.
