What is hormonal acne?
Hormonal acne also referred to as adult acne is a skin condition that effects adults between the ages of 20 and 50. This condition sees a number of breakouts on the skin develop among adults in different forms including blackheads, whiteheads and cysts. The main reason for hormonal acne to develop is as a result of an overproduction of sebum and pores on the skin becoming clogged and congested. Acne is one of the most common skin conditions, and we see more and more people experience acne throughout adulthood. Acne can develop in many areas of the body, however the most common areas are the face, back and chest. Whilst, it is common many people with hormonal acne can become self conscious and look for ways to hide and mask their skin concerns.
What causes hormonal acne?
