Labia reduction surgery
Labiaplasty is a minor surgical procedure whereby we work to correct the appearance of the labia. Many women will explore labiaplasty for cosmetic reasons however some might want this procedure done for other reasons such as discomfort.
Here at Victoria House Clinic we can help women that are unhappy with the appearance of the labia due to either its shape or size. The labia can change shape and size for a number of reasons including: childbirth, weight loss or age.
Why do people get labiaplasty?
There are a number of reasons as to why someone might want to have labiaplasty. We've outlined a few of those reasons below:
- You are unhappy with the appearance
- The size of your labia has changed
- Your labia causes discomfort
- You are self-conscious and have lost confidence
Your labiaplasty procedure will be carried out in our CQC registered clinic by our Medical Director; Dr George Filobbos who is an esteemed Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon.
Labia Reduction Surgery
Labia reduction surgery is a non-invasive, minor surgical procedure. The trim method is the most commonly used approach when it comes to reducing the size of the labia. During the procedure an incision will be made alongside the outer edges of the labia, followed by the removal of excess tissue. The edges will then be stitched back together to complete the new look.
This procedure is done under local anaesthetic and typically takes around an hour to complete. Following the procedure you will be taken into our onsite recovery room where you will be monitored and allowed to rest before being free to go home on the same day.
