If you tuned into ITVX’s The Price of Perfection recently, you may have seen our very own Consultant Urologist and Surgeon, Mr Hosam Serag, performing a life-changing procedure as part of the episode titled “Men.” While the show covered everything from aesthetic tweaks to confidence-boosting treatments, one story that stood out was that of our brave client, and the intimate surgery he chose to undergo at Victoria House Clinic.

How We Got Involved in the Show
The production team from The Price of Perfection approached us directly. They had fallen in love with the look and feel of our clinic, noting how professional yet welcoming the space was, something we take pride in. When they explained the nature of the episode and their desire to feature a male client undergoing a real procedure, we knew we could offer the right environment: expert surgical care, discretion, and warmth.
The Day of Filming: Cables, Cameras, and Calm
There was a real buzz in the air when filming day arrived. Our team was excited (and maybe a little nervous), knowing we were opening our doors to the world. At the same time, we remained focused on ensuring everything ran smoothly for the client, as we would on any surgery day.
Because our clinic is already purpose-built for procedures, we didn’t need to do much to accommodate the crew beyond creating a little extra space for lighting and equipment. Our theatre is spacious, modern, and CQC-registered, which gave the camera team plenty of room to work discreetly. While filming was underway, our regular appointments continued as normal.
Meeting Olivia Attwood and the team was a lovely moment. The camera crew were efficient and professional, and despite a few nerves, everything ran to time. The spotlight, of course, was on our client
A Personal and Life-Changing Journey
The client featured in this episode had a deeply personal reason for seeking a circumcision. For him, the decision was rooted in both aesthetic and medical motivations, and he described how the issue had already impacted his confidence and day-to-day life.
Having never undergone surgery before, he was understandably apprehensive, especially as this was a sensitive procedure performed under local anaesthetic. But his bravery was remarkable, and as you’ll see in the episode, his emotional transformation was just as powerful as the physical one.
The Role of Mr Hosam Serag
Throughout the experience, Mr Hosam Serag was exceptional at not only the surgery itself but helping the client stay calm and feel understood. What you don’t see in the final edit is the number of consultations Mr Serag held in the lead-up to the procedure. He ensured the client was fully informed, understood the process, potential outcomes, and was comfortable with every step.
During surgery, Hosam remained calm, clear, and completely reassuring, talking the client through every stage with expert care. He was joined by our experienced ODP, who can be seen in the show offering emotional support throughout the procedure. Together, they created a calm and supportive space that allowed the client to feel safe and confident
The Rise of Male Cosmetic Procedures
The episode titled "Men" was designed to explore a topic that is often left out of aesthetic conversations: male body image. While women are often the focus of cosmetic shows, this episode shifted the lens to highlight that men struggle with confidence, too.
Hosam sees this firsthand every week. As a Consultant Urologist, he regularly performs intimate procedures like circumcisions for clients from all walks of life, motivated by medical, aesthetic, or religious reasons. While surgery is serious, there was still plenty of warmth and humour on the day. Our client was in great spirits, cracking jokes throughout the procedure (yes, even while under local anaesthetic!). It was one of those days that reminded us why we love what we do.
And the most memorable moment? Seeing his face light up when he saw his new body. You could see the weight lift from his shoulders, a genuine moment of transformation, captured on camera.
What the Client Said Afterwards
Following the filming, the client was thrilled with his result, both physically and emotionally. He mentioned that this surgery was truly life changing and he’s even taken himself off on holiday to celebrate (he joked that he wouldn’t be in the country when it airs!).
